What We Need
East Boston Social Centers, Inc. is currently seeking 2-3 motivated individuals for the position of Out-of-School-Time Group Leader. Reporting to the Out-of-School-Time Directors, general responsibilities include the supervision of a group of 13 school aged children, including but not limited to: independent group leadership, consistent monitoring of children and their needs, providing guidance in the classroom. East Boston Social Centers, Inc. is looking for someone with charisma to effectively promote the East Boston Social Centers, Inc. culture.

Job Duties
The responsibilities of the Out-of-School-Time Group Leader, include but are not limited to:
Supervise and support a small group of school aged children while interacting in a positive way as to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. Encourage children to make positive choices and to participate in all activities to their fullest potential
Follow and instruct the program curriculum which includes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities as well as SEL (Social Emotional Learning) activities
Plan curriculum with coworkers and promote multi-ethnic and multi-cultural curriculum
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times; Follow all Early
Education and Care (EEC) Guidelines and Protocols
Attend staff meetings as notified
Additional Responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Out-of-School-Time Directors
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will be a detailed-oriented self-starter with strong leadership, organizational management, and communication skills. Familiarity with youth development is highly desired.
High School Diploma or higher; coursework in education, social or human services, child development, or related field is desirable 0-1+ years of experience working in a child care, community outreach setting preferred
Bilingual/Multilingual (strongly preferred)
Experience working with underserved and underrepresented communities
Experience working with diverse populations (strongly preferred)
Excellent organizational and coordination skills
Must clear Department of Early Education and Care’s Background Record Checks (i.e. CORI, SORI, DCF, etc.)
Availability to work Monday-Friday from approximately 1:00-5:30pm (hours may vary, be flexible)
